About

WHO AM I?

I am an law student, former paralegal and entrepreneur with a passion for personal finance, business, and, of course, the law.

I started this website as a resource for anyone in their lawyering journey – whether they are pre-law, in law school, or they have been practicing for 20 years – to take control of their finances, their mental health, and their careers. I hope by documenting my path to a financially independent and mentally well attorney, you can see that if I can do it, so can you!

My mission is to empower you, even if you doubt yourself, to achieve financial independence, good mental wellness, and that coveted Juris Doctorate.

So I’ve created this page to guide you to some of my best pages and resources and to get you started.

What is a "FIRE Esquire"?

  • FIRE stands for Financial Independence / Retire Early and something that’s amazing

  • Esquire denotes someone who practices law

  • I like word play. Shoot me.

"A FIRE Esquire is an attorney or aspiring attorney who strives to achieve excellence in all aspects of his or her life and career. Be(com)ing a great attorney means taking care of yourself, your finances, and your career."
